Perth-Huron United Way will be touring local Scotiabank branches on Dec. 13 to raise awareness and collect donations toward its $1.4 million fundraising goal.
The Hope Squared tour (formerly Care-a-Vanof Hope) will stop at Scotiabank branches in Exeter and Goderich, as well as St. Marys, Listowel, Milverton, Mitchell and Stratford.
Donations will be accepted starting Dec. 3at branches across Huron and Perth, and Scotiabank will provide a matching gift of up to $15,000 to the United Way campaign.
Last year, the United Way collected nearly$195,000 on tour day, the organization said on its website.
As of Nov. 26, the organization had raised $599,555 for its current campaign.
This year’s fundraising goal is $1,446,625.
